Picka is a teen-focused financial brand experience project developed in collaboration with Samsung Card as part of the KDM+ industry-academic program.
The goal was to propose a next-generation youth credit card that offers more than just payment, serving as a teen’s first financial partner by supporting their spending habits, financial education, and investment literacy in one integrated service.


We positioned Picka as a “first financial partner” for youth.
Inspired by constellations, the service allows teens to visualise their spending behaviour as a "spending constellation", helping them reflect on their consumption patterns and set a course for better money management.
The metaphor of space exploration helped transform the complex world of finance into a playful yet meaningful journey. Teens become astronauts navigating their own spending universe, while Picka offers tools to guide and reward them.
Picka is a holistic brand experience built around the realities of Gen Z’s values, spending behavior, and need for financial empowerment. By blending branding, digital interaction, and physical touchpoints, the project proposes a future-forward model of teen financial onboarding that is educational, expressive, and emotionally resonant.

Though the service was not launched commercially, the project closely followed real-world design workflows with ongoing feedback from Samsung Card’s design team. It was selected as the top-performing team in the program and was showcased at Design Korea 2022.
